Six Inspirational Travel Instagrammers

If you are like me, you probably enjoy looking at travel pictures! Instagram is the perfect platform finding and enjoying beautiful photography. Last week, I was down in San Diego spending time with my family. My focus was on my family and so I spent quite a bit of time lounging around, chatting and just hanging out with my peeps. In my free time, instead of wandering the city, I spent a lot of time exploring my favorite travel photography Instagram feeds.

There’s nothing more spectacular than images taken with high-quality camera gear by professionals. Flipping through a photographer’s Instagram feed gives me so much inspiration for my own photos. I like to take a moment to really examine the photos that I enjoy the most to figure out why I like them. I ask myself “How does this image work?” When an image really thrills me, I analyze the subject, composition, framing, and exposure. When I find someone who uses their phone, I’m even more inspired!

Here are my current six favorite travel photographers on Instagram:

@EverythingEverywhere: What I love most about travel photographer Gary Arndt is the blend of landscapes and cityscapes, animals and icon buildings. He’s got an amazing eye and I find nearly every image inspiring. https://www.instagram.com/everythingeverywhere/

@Migrationology: If stunning food from around the world makes your mouth water, then Migrationology will inspire you! Mark Wiens travels the world ordering interesting food and documenting the experience in his photographs. Screen Shot 2018-10-10 at 2.07.36 PM

@DanielKordan: If you’re interested in hyper-real landscapes, check out the enhanced photography of Daniel Kordan. He loves to play with color and lighting effects and his work is stunning. Screen Shot 2018-10-10 at 2.09.44 PM.png

@CulturalTourist: Photographer Michael Germano travels the world documenting his trips and capturing iconic images of people, places, and things. For a costume junky, I love his images of people wearing their daily clothes and finery as they move through their lives. Screen Shot 2018-10-10 at 2.14.32 PM.png

@GirlEatWorld: One of the best parts of traveling is tasting new foods, and travel photographer Mel has raised the food selfie to a high art! After checking out her Instagram feed be prepared to get a snack!Screen Shot 2018-10-10 at 2.20.58 PM.png
