Over the past weekend I took a road trip to the High Desert Steam Con which took place at the Nugget in Sparks. On the way, I talked my trusty driver into taking a brief detour to see lake Tahoe. We stopped in Minden, California, for a little walk about. The scent of pine trees, a bit of residual snow, and the sound of the lake lapping at the shore made for a lovely break from the drive between the Bay Area, CA and Reno, NV. What was the best part? Having house made ice-cream at the Hoch Family Creamery, where I had an EPIC Banana double-malted with vanilla. It’s my favorite flavor in the whole world! Traveling with me means stopping at every hand-made ice cream emporium. Find out more about this creamery here.
