Stained glass from the apse of Saint-Eustache, Paris depicts the annunciation, the moment when the angle visits Mary and informs her that she will give birth to the son of god. This is the pivotal moment, when Christianity is born, and is one of the great mysteries of their faith. I love the color colorful glow, the beauty of these glowing Renaissance figures within this Gothic framework is sublime. Located in Les Halles, the 1st arondissement of Paris, it’s easy to get to via the Metro, and is breathtaking to visit on a sunny day. Find out more about the building here.
